There are very many verses in Quran where Allah SWT has guided us as to how we should be supplicating and seeking His help. Let’s look at how we can seek Allah SWT’s assistance in daily affairs.
Prophet Muhammad PBUH referred to the dhikr from the verse of Surah Al-Tawbah, for anyone reciting it seven times in the morning and evening, Allah SWT will be sufficient for his affairs throughout the day (reference: Abu Dawood: 5081).
حَسبِيَ اللَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيهِ تَوَكَّلتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ العَرشِ العَظيمِ
[extract from Surah AL-TAWBAH ( التوبة ) 9, Verse 129]
‘Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except Him. In Him I have put my trust and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.’
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the beautiful meaning of this dhikr, where we consciously admit that Allah SWT is sufficient for us, reaffirm His oneness, put our trust in Him, and end with glorifying Him.
We should make it a habit to embed this Dhikr in our routines; in the morning (after Fajr prayers) and evening (between Asr & Maghrib prayers) to gain the benefits.
May Allah SWT bless us all.
