There are very many verses in Quran where Allah SWT has guided us as to how we should be supplicating and seeking His help. Let’s look at how we can seek Allah SWT’s refuge when entering or migrating to a new place or starting new work or business.
رَبِّ أَدخِلني مُدخَلَ صِدقٍ وَأَخرِجني مُخرَجَ صِدقٍ وَاجعَل لي مِن لَدُنكَ سُلطانًا نَصيرًا
[extract from Surah AL-ISRA ( الإسراء ) 17, Verse 80]
‘My Lord! ‘Admit me with a worthy entrance, and bring me out with a worthy departure, and render me a favourable authority from Yourself.’
Here is the verse, Allah SWT is instructing Prophet Muhammad PBUH (and eventually all mankind) to seek Allah’s help when the for graceful entry and exit to and from a place and supplicating for provisions and authority throughout.
This verse was revealed around the time of the migration of Muslims along with Prophet Muhammad PBUH from Mecca to Medina – Allah SWT out of his mercy, taught the supplication that would shower his blessing in the tough journey and settlement in the new shelter.
